What do I need?

Hardware

To make the most of MindFeed your mobile device should support the following technologies:

Recommended:

• Bluetooth - to find out about people near to you.
• GPS - to associate location with people you meet, track yourself and to participate in live feeds (MindFeed supports Bluetooth GPS devices that are paired with your mobile device, though we recommend ones that do not "turn off" after x minutes of inactivity as this can be annoying if you want to record data all day).
• GPRS, 3G or EDGE mobile phone network connectivity - to allow you to participate in live feeds as these connections allow you transmit almost anywhere in the country!

Other:

• Wi-Fi - to upload recorded trips in a fast and free manner at the end of the day.
• Memory card - we recommend you install MindFeed to a memory card that is installed in your device as recorded feeds can become quite large.

If you do not have all of the technologies listed above, most devices support at least Bluetooth, and you can buy GPS receivers that work using Bluetooth should you wish to use our GPS based services. Please refer to your devices manual or manufacturer for more information if you are unsure.

Software

             

To run MindFeed on your mobile device you will need:

• Windows Mobile 5 or greater. Windows CE 4.0 or greater should also work.
• Franson Bluetools framework. This allows MindFeed to access Bluetooth functions on your device. Simply install this by downloading and running one of the files below and you will be ready to install MindFeed on to your mobile device. (If you are unsure which file to download, simply try the ARM version and if that fails, try the x86 version).

  • Download BlueTools for x86 processors

Extra software needed if you are experiencing problems:

• Microsoft .net Compact Framework 2.0 - most Windows Mobile devices will have this already, however devices with Windows CE may not. To install this simply download the installer to your desktop computer, install it, and then use Microsoft ActiveSync to add the Microsoft .NET CF 2.0 application to your mobile device when you have it connected to your computer.

Once you have installed the above software as required, you can download MindFeed below.

Supported devices and downloads

Once you are happy that you meet all the above requirements and have installed the supporting software, you may download MindFeed and install it to your device. Simply find your device from the table below and download the files listed for your device. If your device is not listed please try the "all other devices" option.
